Capital Community College is a nationally recognized leader in the fast emerging field of Health Information Technology (HIT). Students of this HIT program will become familiar with the emerging field of health informatics from its evolution through current usage.

Students entering the program already have experience in the healthcare field and/or information technology and will gain a deep understanding about Health Information Technology. Individuals will participate in training to develop competencies in health information technology for the workforce roles of Clinician/Practitioner, Consultant, Implementation Manager, Implementation Support Specialist, Practice Workflow and Information Management Redesign Specialist, Technical/Software Support and Trainer.
