Education and Training

The Health Information Technology (Health IT) Regional Extension Center Educational Series has been created to assist health professionals develop knowledge, competency and performance skills required to adopt, implement and utilize electronic health records and other health information technology effectively in their practice. The series is sponsored by the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Office of Community and Continuing Medical Education and the Ethel Donaghue TRIPP Center.  For more information about the series or to learn how to earn CME credits and the technical requirements needed to view the modules click here.
 
The educational sessions target health professionals including physicians, dentists and dental surgeons, optometrists, podiatrists, chiropractors, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, and physician assistants who are practicing in small to medium practices or in federally qualified community health centers, and members of their clinical and administrative staff, who are interested in the federal Health IT incentive programs related to the adoption and effective use of electronic health records (EHR) and other health information technology.

CME credits are available to REC customers only.  If you are a REC customer and don’t have a username and password,  Register now.  REC customers can access the CME modules by logging in below to the eHealthCT website with their username and password.
